Software controlled, the PWM (pulse wave modulator) allows for variable speed control to keep the fluid temperature at the most efficient for the engine. The fully sealed motor unit is spark-free and completely waterproof (IP6K9K), lightweight and robust. Delivering up to 30,000 hours operating life, the fans exceed industry safety standards, and reduce emissions by up to 15% by increasing fuel efficiency.

SPAL’s new high powered series production 500W motor is available in both 12V & 24V versions to give greater cooling in demanding environments and brings versatility to the brushless motors range which also includes a compact 10W fan for secondary electronics cooling up to the largest and most powerful fan of its type currently available, a 850W High Torque for engine and battery cooling on electric vehicles.

While the 500W fan motor is fully in production the other elements of the component can be manufactured to order; in particular, the blades bespoke to manufacturer specifications to optimise airflow to suit the conditions of the individual application.
